11 There’s Nothing Like a New Baby!
A new baby is the single biggest change you can make in your life. It’s new, it’s scary and it’s wonderful. The whole first year is full of change.  As you sit and rock your little miracle and look down at that precious face you’ll wonder how you can possibly remember all the little things that have become so dear to you. You don’t want to forget a thing.

Newborn photography will help you remember this once-in-a-lifetime stage in your and your baby’s life.
This may be your 1st new baby, or maybe it’s your 4th, I promise to expertly lead you through the process of having your baby photographed while I create images you will love.  Here’s the thing about pictures you love. It’s something I never appreciated until my own son was grown. The pictures you love today will mean even more to you months, years, even decades from now.

The pictures we create for you will be the ones you love that you NEVER put away.

How the Newborn Session Works
Before the Session you only have to plan as much as you want to.
If thinking up an idea or two these days leaves you empty, then you’ve come to the right place.  Just before the session I will listen to what is important to you, ask a few questions, then we’ll create visions you didn’t know you had right before your eyes. A crib quilt or favorite blanket,
Hats, headbands and other headpieces, A favorite stuffed animal, A uniform or other gear to symbolize Mom or Dad’s profession. Maybe Mom’s a police officer or Dad’s a firefighter, Bring all that gear & we’ll build a set on the spot! Maybe you’re an ER nurse or you teach school, Bring a few of the things you use every day your stethoscope, your books, your ledgers. We’ll create something that is uniquely you. Are you sports fans? Have a sports shirt? Hat? Bring it.  Footballs, Baseballs, mitts and bats, soccer balls and hockey pucks bring anything you want to include.

Don’t Forget the Family Pictures!
I will never force you to do anything you really don’t want to do but I know that down the road you’re gonna love these pictures. And, as important, your family and most especially your baby – when he or she is older – will love having these pictures to look back on.

During the session most of the time you don’t need to do a thing other than watch your gorgeous baby as we create little pieces of baby art. What could be a better way to spend your time?

A word about fussing. Here’s the thing – ALL babies fuss. It’s just how they talk to us. I always schedule ample time to feed and comfort the baby. I also have a calm demeanor, an endless supply of patience and the ability to quiet almost any baby. That all comes in pretty handy. I can count on the fingers of one hand in over 10 years the number of newborn sessions that I had to reschedule due to fussiness.

Session Timing & Scheduling
Newborns move at their own pace and we’ll let them take the lead. The first session can sometimes be up to one hour.  In scheduling a newborn appointment, it’s best to contact me either before your baby is born or as soon as possible after birth. To ensure each client gets my full attention and a relaxed session.    There are only 10 openings for new babies each month and I fill every one, every month.
The sooner you sign up, the sooner we can lock you into a given month.

I offer a wide variety of products – desk portraits, wall pieces, parent brag books, canvases, books and albums, frames, announcement cards and more. Please ask if you would like more information on a product.
